The Eastern Africa JSPS Alumni Association was launched on the 30th July 2007 at the JSPS Nairobi Research Station Office.

• Re-invitation BRIDGE Fellowship

• Objectives

(a) To promote scientific exchange and research collaboration between Japan and Eastern African countries, in all fields of the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences.
(b) To develop a network and encourage scientific cooperation amongst the Association's members.

• Membership

Currently, the association is comprised of 14 members. The countries represented are Kenya, Tanzania and Ethiopia. We expect that all former fellows of JSPS Postdoctoral fellowship, the former fellows of JSPS Invitation fellowship (both Long-term and Short-term), and any other persons who have been supported under JSPS programs in the Eastern Africa region (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Rwanda and Burundi) will join the alumni. Kindly contact the secretariat for registration.
